I sometimes hate it that I love so much music. Evanescence is playing tonight at the Bricktown Event Center in OKC and I don't have the drive nor the cash to go. Being a rock star is hard. I did see however they are going to be in Tulsa at the end of May with 12 Stones but its on a Sunday.... great.

Alright peeps! LJT Fest pics are posted! My camera sucks in the dark so those pics are kinda bad. Since this festival has moved from Meridian to Stephenville, we had to come up with a new drink for the trip. The old one we called "The Meridian" was Canadian mist and wild cherry Pepsi. Now we had a bottle of Tuaca on this trip so other than just taking shots of it, I wondered what I could mix it with. Hmmmm... how bout wild cherry Pepsi? So low and behold we now have the "Melody Mountain" cuz we were on Melody Mountain and to call it "The Stephenville" would have been just stupid. The Drunk Okie award may have to go to Ted although it was a tie between us Thursday night during Ragweed. Oh well, I'm already planning for next year. Who's in? See ya at the Roger Clyne show tonight at the Concert Hall!
Ooooohhhh I'm back. The fog has lifted. The Earth has shifted. And raised the gifted. Wow what a party. Can't have a long update on LJT's festival yet as we gots ta clean our office. But I will say Uncle Stoney ended up camping with us and kept us well fed. nice. Webcam will not be up for a while as we have to find a place to host it cuz it takes a buttload of bandwidth.

Its finally up! The portfolio section is ready to roll... except the posters/flyers section. Take a peek around. Also updated the CD of The Week in the band section. This may be last update til Monday as I'm heading down to Stephenville, TX, for the big music fest. Check out who all is playing at Larry JoeTaylor's site. Its going to be one helluva party. Kind of like a reunion for some of us that don't live close anymore. Just one big hang out with good music. Shit! I'm excited. Especially to see Wayne "The Train" Hancock. That son of a bitch is Hank Williams good. So anyways, I'll leave my fans with a saying my uncle taught me when I told him about all the drinkin' and vices that happens sometimes..... "Hate the Sin, Love the Sinner"..... how much cooler can that be. rock on....

I feel I need to post this thought. Saturday, me, Kevin, Heidi, Melisa and a couple of her friends went to the Hard Time Club in Guthrie. Now I've been there a couple of times and they have a pretty good set up there. Its an old round barn made into a 2 level dance club. The people there very from decent to "WTF is that?" Anyways, when we all walked in. I had an epiphany. When you walk into a bar and you hear Michael Jackson playing and see the patrons are line dancing to it with NASCAR on the the TV.... I can't even tell you how stereotypical it was... I just can't. Just to let you know, yes they do exist, a quarter of a mile from our house.
Well shit. I forgot the legendary Scott Copeland is playing at Chubs tonight. Fuck... I want to go but I gotta repair for the Meridian trip.... maybe I mean prepare for the Stephenville trip. Screw it, I might as well go. Poor guy needs all the support he can cuz I don't know if his support groups are doing their job. So come and see the almighty himself tonight and you will leave the show enlightened.
Yeah, I know. I haven't said anything about Mike's band when we saw them Thursday night yet. I'll try to give my abbreviated story so here we go..... IMO,FWIW, MMB was pretty OMG but they were no JBS or CCRW. There were a few people like WTF cuz they all love Mike and stuff, IYKWIM. AFAICS they can hold there own. I mean, I was all LOL drunk cuz it was like BYOB back stage. I really wish the MMB the BOL and hope they DTRT. After the show I grabbed a BBQ sandwich and, BION, it was good. TTFN, TCB, and remember JLY.

CD of the week is up so you can check it out now in the "bands" section. I'll be updating it every Wednesday so you can rush out and buy it by the weekend. A few of us are going to Check out Mike McClures band tomorrow at the Concert Hall. I've heard good and bad about their sound. It will be Judgement Night for them. I just hope they keep me entertained. Speedtrucker Friday night at the Dog should be a pretty good hell raisin' time, I've heard from some reputable sources. Time to be a rock star for two more nights!

What a killer ass weekend. One of the best I've had in a long time. We had Jim & Carrie's wedding rehearsal Friday night. But before that, we headed to Shane and Loren Zerr's house for a big Tortilla Soup Cook-Off between Loren and Casey. Well guess what... it was a tie. Both were pretty good but I liked Casey's more. It was thicker, more hearty. Off to the rehearsal after that. Stayed there for about an hour then went to the concert hall for the Stragglers show. Met up with ole Ted Roberson and Dave Palmer and got to some pretty hardcore beer drinkin'. The show was pretty good and blah, blah, blah....get to bed at about 4am. Saturday I felt pretty good for only havin' 8 hours of sleep the past two nights. We got around and of course I was the last guy there in the wedding party, but we got all the pics taken care of and Jason suggested we go to Willie's for a couple of drinks since we had a half hour to kill. After we had a couple of Jack and cokes, we were pretty stoked about the rest of the evening. The wedding went off without a hitch other than the two getting hitched. Reception No.1 was at the Underdog. I got there in time to get the music all ready and played the first song for their grand entrance. As soon as that was done I started hammering the Sangria wine that was supplied for the evening. I thought I couldn't drink wine all night... well come to find out I had no problem. We finished there and went to Pokers for Reception No. 2. This my fans, was when everyone got stupid and contagious. Brandon Jenkins played first then, The Stragglers played one of there best shows ever. Everyone was playing their asses off. Jason kept asking Jim what he wanted to here so it was a very cool all request wedding night for him. It was like a mini reunion for some "old schoolers" out there. I didn't want it to end, but I kinda started seein' double, so I didn't have a choice. Oh well... I got a few pics of Reckless Kelly and Reception No. 1 up. I couldn't take very many cuz I was too busy playing "rock star".

Wow... I need some extra sleep today. This bullshit of staying out til 2 has to stop.... wait a minute... nah, fuck it. Reckless Kelly played last night and rocked some serious ass. It's good to see those boys again. They played some new shit off their cd coming out next month I believe. There's gonna be some good stuff on that there album. We had a good time til Jake and Amy showed up (OMG LOL FYI USA!). Those bastards made me drink more than I wanted... or maybe it was me. Well, whatever it was, we partied our balls off and closed 'er down. Got 2 more nights of this. Red and Carries rehearsal tonight, then back to the concert hall for The Stragglers. Our old pal Ted is comin' up from Austin tonight too for the big wedding tomorrow. Jake will be singing one of his songs at the big event along with Brandon Jenkins. What a wedding. It will be a party. I'm going to lay my head on my desk now....

Holy shit... I been busier than a one legged man in an ass kickin' contest. This past weekend was a pretty good one. Melisa and I checked out a band Friday night at the Wormy Dog called Rodger Wilko. They were OK. A couple of good originals and some good covers but nothin really grabbed me. Their biggest asset was their harmonies. Saturday night Kevin and Deana came to Guthrie before we went to hang in Stillwater. Dropped Melisa off at Joanna's for Carrie's bachelorette party before we head to Chubs to meet Red. We watched Jake play there for a bit then headed to Mike's to catch Falcon Five-0. They are one fuckin' rockin' band. Great show they put on. Later on, we went back to Chubs to watch Nathan and Carrie Clewell sing. The greatest duet next to Bruce and Kelly. I soon come to find out 1100 Springs is playing at the Copper Penny, so Red and I mosey on down their to catch their last two songs. I love those guys. I just wish they had a bigger draw around here. It seems like nobody pays attention to them. Stupid asses. Anyway, we drive back to Guthrie safe and sound after the bars close and thats about it. Oh, and I posted some more pics too. So ya'll keep comin' back.

Melisa and I went to see Phone Booth last night. I must say I highly recommend this movie. I never thought so much could take place within a four foot square. The only problem I had with it was Keifer Sutherland seemed to like cocking his gun a lot throughout the movie. If you see it you'll know what I'm talkin about. Oh and I got some more photos up today as well. Rock.
