Everytime something like this happens, I always wonder what's God's deal with, every couple of years, really rattling up Oklahoma bands. Its kind of funny... not funny "haha" but funny "weird". Looking backover the years at what all Ragweed has been through, Jason's wreck, what happened to a good friend of No Justice, and now what the Rangers are dealing with. There are some people out there that wonder why these Oklahoma bands are so close. Look at what all they've been through and have always pulled out stronger than ever. They have supported each other through thick and thin. Yes music is their job but when something happens everything kind of halts for second and people don't hesitate to ask what they can do. There's a price to pay but you can see God's plan when its all said and done..... the family is stronger. You will never meet anyone nicer than ALL these boys from Oklahoma.

May your thoughts and prayers be with the Rangers. Let's all hope for a speedy recovery.

Soooo, we're having a grand ole time here at the OKC Zoo. When we're done here, its off to the Stragglers at the Weed in Stillwater. Its an all day par-tee!

I can already tell, this place would be my favorite hang out in Austin. I went ahead and added the link to my "Drinkin' Places" too. I love the small lower-key venues with a lot of style and good music.

So, I'm getting to design my first actual "rock 'n' roll" poster for the July 9th show at the Wormy Dog in Bricktown. Its gonna be cool as shit. Oh, and the show will be too. :-) yeah party. Gonna head that way after work for the Dorman, Miller, Tedrow, Jackson music extravaganza this evening. Come on out now. Stragglers at the Weed in Stillwater Saturday but we may go see the Sugar Free Allstars at Joe's for a change of pace, face, space, and place.

So, I tried the new Angus Burger today at lunch cuz I wanna be tough like the little offfice dude on the Burger King commercials. It was pretty good. Not as good as I had hoped. I got mine with bacon and cheese cuz I like bacon and cheese but I think the real killer was the barbeque sauce of some sort they put on it. I'd just rather have mayo, mustard, or ketchup. I must say it was big enough to satisfy my appetite.... but as I write this my stomach may be in disagreement. It kinda feels like the Angus Beef is trying to get free. Oh well. It was just an OK burger. Its not Sonic good by any means.

I'm sick of seeing and hearing about this Michael Moore douche bag. He should've been the one kidnapped by Al Qaeda. I bet that would've shut him up.
Caught the Stoney, Kevin, and Bob show Friday night in Stillwater. Left a little early. It just wasn't a "get into it" night. Jamie and Angie's wedding was quite a trip Saturday. It was beautiful and all until the minister went off on some kind of power trip sermon just cuz he's been "doing this for forty years". Said some pretty whacko shit and our whole row couldn't stop laughing. We could see Jamie peeking up during the prayers as if to see if anyone else was going "WTF?". Angie actually motioned for the preacher man to wrap it up. It was one for the books All thing aside, they're married now and at some resort 50 miles south of Cancun. We all went to the Bricktown Brewery that evening with all the wedding party and such. That was a blast. We actually had fun there..... wait..... we have fun anywhere where there's friends and alcohol. Banana Seat played. Hadn't seen them in years, since Joe's. A really fun band. They always reminded me a Bristol Fashion except they play mostly 70's rock instead of 80's pop. Robert and I got pretty hammered. Well, I know I did since me, Melisa, and Robert were the last ones there. I love my friends because its like, if you're not ready to leave and want to shut the bar down, there's always someone willing to saddle up beside you to take 'er on home. And remember.... God does NOT care about Areospace America or the Redhawks..... just ask that "giant of a man" cuz he is the force and this lovely lady was MADE to love him...... yeah. The Word of the Day is "Ordained"

The next time we, or anyone for that matter, goes to that oh so grand Cambodia for summer vacation be sure to not, and I want to emphasize the word "not" here.... do NOT pee in public. Make sure to find a bathroom.

I've been to Rome, Dallas, Texas. Man, I thought I'd seen it all

Around the world, search in every corner. Man, I thought I'd hit the wall

There's a sleepy town, south of the Border. If you go there once, you'll be there twice

Lots of pretty girls, coming by the dozens. The white sand sure makes a tan look nice

We can crash on the beach. You know I wanna make love in the sea

We gotta try a little dance, so Cabo Wabo. It's alright by me

Come on, let me take you down. I will show you around

Let me take you down. Face down in Cabo

Kissing the ground

Land's end, you'd have to see it. Ain't no picture ever say it right

Walkin' the streets doing that ole, the Cabo Wabo. Place comes to life every night

I wanna crash on the beach. You know I wanna make love in the sea

It's all right there. We don't have to chase it

Fits paradise to a T

Come on, let me take you down. I will show you around

Let me take you down. Face down in Cabo

Kissing the ground

We drink Mescal right from the bottle. Salt shaker, little lick a lime

Throwin' down, down tryin' to reach the bottom.

Where the guave worm, well he's mine all mine

Come on, crash on the beach. You know I wanna make love in the sea

Go try a little dance, so Cabo Wabo. It's alright by me

Let me take you down. I will show you around

Let me take you down. Face down in Cabo

Kissing the ground....

Thanks Sammy for putting Cabo on the map. You described the "paradise to a T".

That song is the essence of our Honeymoon. Rock n roll.

Pics are up. Now with captions!
Alter Bridge sounds better than Creed. Just heard that new band on the KATT. The former members of Creed with the former lead singer from Mayfiled Four, Myles Kennedy. I always liked the Mayfield Four. Glad Myles found a new band. Good stuff.
Bob Schneider is playing at the Green Door tonight. May have to sneak over there for a bit. Going to see Jack Stowage at the Wormy Dog first of all. Those guys play some kick ass music. We're gonna catch Stoney tomorrow here in Stillwater cuz Kevin said we have to. Then its to Jamie and Angie's wedding Saturday afternoon. Its up in the air after that. We have Texas Jack at the Red Dirt and Badwater with the Divide at the Dog. Sunday we're having our Dads up for some grilled burgers. Shit! Its a full tilt boogie scheduled balls to the wall weekend! Party!

I want to be a rock star. I used to want to be a race car driver, but I think a rock star would be cooler. Its that whole "can't play an instrument" thing that hinders me. I guess I'll just have to be a sing only front man.
I just noticed I still have my timer going done there at the bottom. Its on the plus side now. I've been married over ten days now..... and they said it wouldn't last. ha!

Our wedding rocked balls. So glad its done and outta the way. The ceremony went off without a hitch (except us... bur-hur). The "Rite Reverend Red" sounded like an old-hat, Cody's performance of "Millionaire" was right on. It was a great day! Thanks to everybody who helped put it on. So now we're back from being all married and back from being all suntanned in Mexico. I gotta say, after being to the Caribbean side and then going to the Pacific side, the Pacific kicks mucho ass. Not humid at all. We loved it. Sure it gets hotter than the blazes a fire and damnation but as soon as you step in the shade, its cooler than the water in a swimmin' pool. We did a whole lot of nothing down there except for the couple of night we went into town. I mean, come on, who the hell wants to leave an "all inclusive" resort? Melisa layed out most of the day while I sat at the swim up bar getting tanked off chi chi's. God, those are good. We learned though that if you drink four of them in one hour, your tummy may have a beef with you. They have quite a bit of cream in them. So I always switched to Jack and Coke or Pacificos. Tried a new drink called the "Miami Vice" too. Made me want to put on a white sport coat with a pink t-shirt every time I ordered one. From what I understand, its a pina colda and a stawberry daiquiri mixed together. The best damn drinks I ever had though was at Cabo Wabo. Everything they mix you will get you stinko as quickly as possible. The Waboritas warmed you up and the "Can't Drive 55" (tequila, rum, vodka, gin, orange, pineapple and cranberry juice......yeah) knocked me smooth on my ass even before I was done with it. I've still gotta edit and sort though all of our pics before I post them, but they'll be up sometime this week.

¡Buen día todos! ¡Teníamos tanto diversión en Cabo! Bebimos mucha cerveza y mezclamos bebidas.

Well, it looks like this will be my last post/update (maybe!) until Melisa and I get back from Cabo in about a week and a half. I just want to take this time to thank everybody for this past weekend. It was one hell of a ride. The pics turned out bad ass. Take a look when you're done reading this. Thank you to all the people who are in the pictures and the ones who are behind the camera. As for the road trip, I'd especially like to thank Matt, Kevin, Red, Ryin, Rob, Ted, and Grant for his hospitality. You guys are the best. I'm very lucky to have friends like you. I know a few of the people who visit this site I'll see at the wedding Saturday, the rest I'll see on down the road. Until then everybody keep on keepin' on and everybody be cool.
