People of the world... there is a disturbance in the force of Oklahoma music... and it is good. No Yoda about it. Badwater is quite possibly the best (and most fun) live band I've seen in years. They played the Red Dirt Cafe in Norman last night and I partied like the days of Ragweed playin' at the Brass Rail in Enid. Imagine if you will, a guitar player with the tech skills of Roger Ray and the soul of Cody Canada. Yes friends, he exists. The show was nothing short of...well...I can't even explain it... just a killer bad ass show. There sound is hard drivin' piss your pants southern rock your balls off. That's about the best way I think I can explain it. Their cd "Sothern Purified" is going to be released on July 4th and it will be better than any fireworks show you're going to see. I give them a year and then I think no one can touch them... no bullshit. Badwater plays Ragweed Fanfest on July 12th and when people hear them they will want them to be the closing band. I shit you not, they should be. Get there early and DO NOT MISS THESE GUYS! I am kinda pissed now that I am going to miss it since Melisa and I will be in New York, but I guarantee their cd will be played while we're up there. Rock on guys.... you are the future.

So Matt went to go get some "brefas" this morning. Well, he brought me back one of the most dangerous edible substances out there. He got me a Tijuana Mama. For those of you don't know, its a short and fat piece of pickled sausage. I asked Matt, why he would buy something like that. All he did was point to one corner of the package which had a little starburst. In the middle of the starburst, it said "300% Hotter". Now, I have never eaten of these things for "brefas" let alone at any time so I had no judgement wether it was actually "300% Hotter" or not. So I tear into this little firecracker of processed meat cuz I ain't scared even though I had only about two swallows of my oh so delicious Vanilla Coke left. Let me tell you something fans, I was horrified about three seconds after the first bite. I was crying, sweating, blowing my nose, my head started hurting....the physical reaction my body had to this thing was very stressful. My Vanilla Coke quickly disappeared, but oh no! I wasn't done. I had to eat the rest of it cuz it was in some twisted manner, intoxicating. I loved the punishment although I did hang out by the water cooler in back for a while. I saved the last bite for Matt cuz he said he'd probably never eat a whole one. Spicy pickled sausage must take some kind of supercollider to break it down. I felt completly worn out. One thing is for sure. If you ever have the balls to eat one of these monstrosities of human creation, you will need a nap.
Pat Green looks gay on his new album cover.... speaking of gay, Ren and Stimpy are back on "The new TNN". I loved this cartoon when it first came out in the early 90's. I mean one of my all time favorites. Now, John Kricfalusi has brought them back. I thought it was promising since I saw an interview where he said he doesn't have to deal with as much censorship as he used to with Nickelodeon. Well, I just thought there would be more cussing and what not but instead I watched the clips and John has literally gave them "the gay", like ones the pitcher and ones the catcher. They call it "Ren and Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon" and I think it should be called "Ren and Stimpy Man Fest Animation". Way to go John for screwing up two of my favorite cartoon characters.

Something is going on in eastern Oklahoma. I went to Jake's 21st B-day party last Saturday out at Stan's and I heard one of the best damned cd's in a long time. Come to find out, this cd hasn't even been mastered yet. All I know is the band is called Badwater, they from Oklahoma (party), they are playing the Red Dirt Cafe this Saturday the 28th, and I will be there come hell or high water. I highly suggest people in and around the area come to their show. I have never seen them live but its for sure so far, I can't take their cd out of my player. Not since Matt Powell or George DeVore has anything struck me to be this good. The real test for them (for me) is their live show. I sure do hope they rock.

Its done! Finished! The End! Fin! The last album of the Cozumel trip. A picture of some food and some pics shot from the plane. I have now experienced the lyrics of a song personally.

Just when you think people couldn't have any common sense at all, along comes one person to rewrite the books. So, I was at the gas station earlier today filling my car up. People are going on about their business purchasing ho-ho's, vanilla cokes, and the flavor of choice at G-Mart, the beloved Marlboro Lights. Speaking of smoking, I think there is a time and place where one usually lights up. As I was filling my dry tank, I see two pumps across from me, a man waving sternly for someone to come over to him as he himself is filling his own tank. So I decide to see who it is he's waving at. I see a "woman" start to walk towards him with a lit cigarette in her mouth. Now, I think to myself "Man! Whew! These gas fumes are pretty strong!" as I see her march onward puffing away. Surely she would put it out before reaching the car. This is where the proverbial book is rewritten. No! She keeps on smokin' away! You white-trash retard! Of all the things you could do while filling up with one of the most flammable (and quite abundant considering where we were) substances allowed by law, the furthest thing from my mind is having some source of ignition hanging from my mouth. At the risk of me turning into a firey inferno flame of heat energy, I really wanted to shove that nozzle down her throat and pull the trigger til it went "click". I hate dumbasses.

Wow! I almost made a stinky in my pants when I went to Apple's Website today. Check out the new G5, the new iSight cam, and a preview of Panther (OS 10.3). Jeez, I'm still a nerd. Somebody stop me!

Dumbledore accidentally kills Hermione in the new Harry Potter book. So when you go pick up your copy at midnight tonight and read it this weekend, don't look so surprised when you umm... read it. Thanks to Something Awful for the spoiler!
So, I was watching X-Men the other night (the cartoon, not the movie) and a commercial came on. Now, this was no ordinary commercial. It was more of a calling. The product that was advertising was quite possibly the biggest thing to ever hit the market since any Ronco product. I swear, this is the coolest thing I have ever seen. The Fire and Ice Grill. OMG! WTF? A cooler and a fuckin' grill in one? Holy shit! Its a fuckin' swiss army party kit is what it is! All they need is a special promotion where you get a free 30pk of the beer of your choice and 12lbs of ground chuck. The only way Thermos can improve on this design is somehow attach a lawn mower engine so you could drive it around like a go-cart. Then they could throw in a sticker sheet of your favorite NASCAR car and driver to decorate it with.

Let's take another trip in the Way Back Machine shall we? February 1999 Yukon High School with The Great Divide and Cross Canadian. A cool show and an even cooler afterparty. I don't even remember what bar we ended up at, but it was at the bowling alley. Check the photos. Now, I'm keeping my photos page in chronological as best as I can remember. Some nights are always a little fuzzier than others.
Dude, man, I have my entire music library on my laptop here, right? And the speakers suck on my laptop cuz they are so damn small, right? Ok, I want to play my music on my iMac I have here without having to copy 4 gigs worth of music over to it. Well guess the fuck what? This iTunes music sharing deal lets me share my library over our network. This shit still blows me away. I love being a geek. Oh and did I mention its wireless? Dizzamn.... G's up ho's down, and if that bitch can't swim.... then she's bound to drizzown. party.

Now I get it.... Now I understand why, when growing up, people hated skaters. We have a concrete alleyway between our print shop and the main store where these little bastards like to use some sort of wax to slick up where they want to grind on the retaining wall. I have never seen this wax shit before. Even when I was kid I had friends that skated but never used anything to lube up where they "grind" but I rode a bikes so I thought skaters were stupid cuz they can wreck a piece gravel. Rocks are skaters worst enemy and I think thats funny. So I think pussies use wax so they dont damage there boards or whatever while that wax looks like shit and its harder than hell to get off. Now, I don't mean to sound like some old fogey but I ain't kiddin' when I say "we're gonna get these little shits". Someone needs to take that candle they are using and shove it up their ass. Matt put in a call to some guy that does masonry work to put in four large bolts into the concrete so they can't do their "rad tricks" anymore. Take that you little sonsabitches.

I added acouple of people to my band list. Ian Moore, who I completely forgot to add when I created this thing. He's been rockin' my ass since the early 90's.... And Mr. Copeland has joined my ranks. Scott is one crazy sumbitch but a great guy. Plus he's hounded me about bein' on my site sayin' he gets "dissed" and "no respect" everywhere he goes. I guess its like being Rodney Dangerfield.... I say "whateva". He plays a whole different ball game in his head than we see. Thats all.

So... we went to see The Stragglers in Pawnee yesterday from 2-4. "The Street Fest" I believe it was called. Those shows still kinda make me giggle... the whole "family show" thing. We thought for sure you wouldn't be able to buy beer let alone drink it as we were on the Pawnee County Courthouse lawn, but sure enough after an hour of being there, I look over my shoulder and there are a few people standing around grabbin' bottles and cans of guess what?.... beer. Well shit. I look at Kevin, Wooley, Gus and Melisa and all of our crowd and realized we don't have any damn balls anymore. There was a time when it didn't matter if you could drink or not, by God, we'd still have beer there. It was a sobering moment (no pun intended). So after the show and after Boland called us pussies for not going to Fayetteville, we head back to Stillwater and hang at Patrick's place with Brooke til its time to head to Willie's to see Steve, Chad, Tony and Kevin play. I'd like to give a shout out to Shane and Loren for hangin' with us.. Whats up my peeps! We all had a good time and I was enjoying Jack and Cokes and smokin' my Camels which I hadn't had since before going to Cozumel (all they had were Marlboros down there damn them!). The show was good and we sang and drank yadda yadda yadda..... whatever. Check out photos of the actual wedding in Cozumel too.

Had to drive to the city today to pick up some shirts for an order that didnt get shipped. It was cool though... I jammed out to Extreme all the way down there and Cry of Love on the way back. Get to go eat with Melisa's folks tonight at Papa's Lil Italy in the City for an early fathers day. Never eaten there but I heear its good. Matt and I ate at El Tapitio for lunch. I felt like I was back in Cozumel again.... everyone called us "amigos". Oh, well. Also, had to ammend one of my top 5. Got to put a little CVC in there. I totally forgot about that yesterday.

I put up some more Cozumel pics from when we rented a dune buggy. Saw some real interesting things. Check 'em out. Oh yeah and since I usually use this blog deal to just tell my fans when I update, I'm figure I would tell random shit like Kevin and Scott do on their sites cuz I want to be a comedian too. So for now, I'm going to list the top 5 cd's I'd have with me if I were trapped on a desert island (in no particular order).
1. George DeVore - Wonderland
2. Matt Powell - Dragonfly
3. Poison - Look What the Cat Dragged In
4. Run DMC - Greatest Hits
5. Cadillac Voodoo Chior - An Evening with... (acoustic)
There you go. Feel free to post your top 5 as well in my guestbook and I'll tell you if you're full of shit or not. If I don't see any posted, then I'll know no one sees this and/or no one likes me.

Cozumel was cool as shit... wait, wait, wait, it was actually hotter than shit. Within one minute of stepping outside I started to sweat more than a whore in church. But what a beautiful place. You can't beat the scenery around the island. I will post all my pics sometime. It may be later today or tomorrow. I have over 200 pics and I'll need to explain some of them.... seriously.

Well, this will be my last post/update til I return from Old Mexico. I put up a new CD of The Week in the "band" section. Its a little different for some folks but remember, I used to (and still do) rock n roll all night and learn at school everyday (well, I may not do the school part anymore). So, until next time, I bid everyone a sweet adios! til I get back Monday. Have a good 'un!

Wow....Steve and Kim's wedding was beautiful. Great ceremony and an even better after par...uuuhhh.... I mean reception at Gallardia. I want to wish them the best and a long and happy life together. This will be a short week for me cuz I have another wedding to attend this weekend and I will be leaving Thursday for COZUMEL!!! Woooo party!. My cousin, Elizabeth, is getting married down there. I can't wait. It will be the first time I have ever left this great country. I wonder if there are any donkey shows around that part.
