... I make Southern Rock and I mix it with a Hip-Hop... That's right kids. The American Badass is gonna be here Saturday and we gots out tix. Party at the Bricktown Dog for the game at 5, drink our asses off in celebration, go see Kid Rock, come back to the Dog to hang with No Justice and Wade Bowen for the Kid Rock afterparty. Yeah... I don't know if I'm gonna survive this one.
"The Adventures of Alamo and RibTip" Coming Soon.....
I loathe Microsoft and its "Office" products. Damn you Excel, and your evil brothers Word and Powerpoint.

I like this guy. He hates the general public about as much as I do.

OK, here's the story.... on Dec. 6 we played BYU and got our asses handed to us. Couldn't rebound for shit so the beat us. On Dec. 7 Eddie made all the players don football gear after the loss and run each other over in charging-foul drills toughened their asses. Since then, we only lost two games. It was a national story and the media says that because Eddie made them do that, they have become the top team they are.... hence "you gotta be tough to be a cowboy". I think we're gonna go all the way.

GETCHA SOME!

I hope everyone knows the story behind it. I don't want to have to type it all out.
BTW.... cool chicks DO wear orange.

Man..... I just quit drinking bout 10 hours ago. FINAL FUCKIN' FOUR!!!! I think OSU is gonna take it all. We drove around a bit after the game after eating at Kyoto's drinking saki and Asahi..... and we were talking about Stillwater's response to the win. We were a little disappointed in the rowdiness or really the lack there of. Nine years ago, if people remember, we had the fuckin' National Guard called in on Stillwater. There were kegs being dragged on campus to party, the streets were packed with honking cars. It seemed to be a little lighters this time around. Although there were lines at every bar. We just ended up at Red and Carrie's playing cards and drinking til 5:15 in the morning.... yeah. Then of course drinking during the other games and Sopranos. Kansas almost pulled it off. I really wish they could have. Two Big 12 teams in the Final Four would've been really sweet.

Looks like as close as my favorite rock band of all time is gonna get is Kansas City. I don't care, I'm goin', even though its on a Monday. I'm not gonna get into the whole Sammy vs. Dave thing... all I'll say is at least its the "good" Van Halen on tour. Fuckin' party. See if the Texas Jack boys want to take a road trip. I know Poncho better be in.
What the fuck happened to the "gorgeous" weekend we were supposed to have? Fuck this rain bullshit. I'm ready to drink outside. The weather man has been wrong all damn week. I hate his guts. He needs a good cock punching.

Sad day here in Stillwater USA. Don't have details to share but it looks like the ole Wormy Dog here is gonna be changin' names. Sad.
See what I mean

I jumped on the Miller Lite Pain Train last night. I just couldn't seem to get enough. Oh well, I heard on the news this morning that Oklahoma is ranked bottom of the barrel (45) when it comes to the health of our lovely citizens. But, you gotta love Oklahomans. When they were asked if they lived a healthy life style, 80% said yes as they took a drag off their cigarette while chewing their Big Mac. Fuckin' A. Apparently there is going to be a special section in the Daily Oklahoman called "Turning Point" that tells you what to do to improve your health. They are also writing fictional stories about whats going to happen if we keep on the same track. I'm guessing it will be a world of 600lbs people rolling around and the main mode of transportation will be automatic cranes and forklifts. Caterpillar stock will soar. Instead of Earth moving equipment, it'll be people moving equipment. Hell, look at all the cars and trucks that have Hemis, Cummings, and big blocks with all this horsepower. You may think its the return of the muscle car but actually the auto industry is preparing to haul all our fat asses around everywhere. My whole deal is, you can preach to me all you want about eating healthy and exercise blah blah blah, but I'm naturally a lazy fuck. I'd rather die early and enjoy good food than live forever and eat nasty shit. If somehow I could live forever... hmmmm.... McDonalds is doing away with their "supersize" option cuz they want to "simplify" their menu. I guess ordering by numbers is throwing everyone off. Riiiiight. Then there are those pricks that actually blame the fast food industry for making them fat and miserable. Hey! Assholes! Stop Eating! Its like the smokers who blame the tobacco industry for getting lung cancer. Yeah, cuz they held you at gun-point and made you go buy those cigarettes. How about you take responsibility for your own actions. I had Don Miguel's Bomb Burrito for breakfast and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Its the perfect pick-me-up after a hard night of drinking. Do I plan on excercising after work to get out million plus calories? No.... I was thinking of the Atkins diet when I bought it though. To me, if you just think about Atkins, it makes it "Atkins Friendly". If KFC can be advertised as healthy food..... everything's fair game.

Wow, this started off to be a little informative blog and turned into a incoherent rant. I guess its the after effects of the Pain Train.

FUCKING A!!!! ITS COMING PEOPLE!!!

So, my new toy shipped today. Pretty excited.... that was part of my tax return. I hate being a gadget geek. I feel like I have to have a new phone, or a new laptop, new iPod, new car stereo, etc. every week. Something new comes out, i research it, I want it. My id is fucking huge. Gimme gimme gimme! I guess I'm one of those selfish bastards like on those "other blogs"... oh well.
Everyone's a critic. I love it. Life's a comedy. Time to drink many beers after work today. See ya at the Dog.

Slowly sifting through the drunken rubble from St. Patrick's Day, I've found a few gems so far. One of my personal favorites I'm glad I got recorded. A 14 minute rendition of Voodoo Chile. Go check out the Badwater Hooch. Its tasty. More to come later on.

Monday, March 22, 2004

Poor Kevin... I had no idea.
Tonight after work, I get to start on my yardwork. I'm like Hank Hill when it comes to my lawn. Its something a guy needs to be proud of so people can enjoy it. I don't believe in mulching though. It makes your yard look like shit. You gotta bag that grass and edge it at least every week. Right now I'm not too proud of my lawn. Clover always seems to take over at the first of spring so I need to get out my yard sprayer and kill all that shit. Then in a week or so, throw down some turf bulider to get that bermuda going. You need to have a nice lawn if you plan on having people over for grilling.... yeah charcoal.... NOT propane.
So, my recording shit went tits up on me Saturday night trying to get the Rangers. Pissed me off so bad I got drunk. They sang some new stuff they've written. Really good too..... wish I could've fuckin recorded it! Oh well. Bike night starts Wednesday in Bricktown. That'll be pretty cool..... if I had a bike. That whole lottery winning thing isn't looking too promising.

Friday, March 19, 2004

The Red Dirt Rangers are playing at the Bricktown Dog tomorrow night. That's gonna rule. I haven't seen them play for a while and I thinks its about due for another show. Come on out and party with some of the guys that started it all.

On another note, starting next Wednesday is Bike Night at the Bricktown Dog. If you've got a Hog in one form or another, cruise your tail down and hang out. $1.50 domestics.... that's only $.50 more than a dollar and thats a helluva deal.

Rock on....
Check out what was "Just Added" to iTunes..... rock n roll.

Boy man I tell ya what, bugs on the windshield, windows down all the time, Robert Earl Keen and Steve Earle (lots of memories outside listening to those guys). Its spring time fellas. Today is the first day I am wearing shorts. Gone is the season where I have to tuck in my shirt...... fuckin party. Still listening to Keen and Steve on the way to work this morning and I noticed Texas Jack fit nicely into the mix. Little cloudy today but thats cool. I'm ready for some hot weather and cold beer outside. I think all bars need to have a place where you can go out and drink under the sun. Right on.

Thursday, March 18, 2004

Bleached jeans, sleeveless shirts, long flowing mullets, wireless head-set mics, guitars on fire, me singing Poison (a ballad this time), you get it all in photos of last night I just posted.

mmmmm Super Sonic Burger meal for breakfast and now Taco Bell for lunch. I'm trying to make myself as fat as possible.
Matt and I have now raised the "lazy" bar. We had another phone installed in our office so we can have one at each desk. We now only have to get out of our chairs to pee.
So, we got our interwebscreen back today. Last night was...... well..... yeah. You may catch me napping on the webcam.

Wednesday, March 17, 2004

A couple of notes today: Last night, Ashly and I went to a sneak preview of Dawn of the Dead. Pretty cool movie I guess. Your run-of-the-mill horror. From the trailers, I expected it to be a little deeper story.... nope, its just a zombie movie. Ashly kept screaming like a little girl though. Jumping at everything that moved.... what a pansy. (those just jokes) The opening and closing credits were kick ass though. You gotta see 'em. Johnny Cash's "When the Man Comes Around" was played during the opening... very freaky. I guess all I'm saying is, if you see this movie for any reason at all, go for the credits. Now thats entertainment.

I guess I'll touch on St. Patty's Day today. I know its gonna be a big mystery on what we'll all be doing after work. You guessed it..... getting stinko. If you go out for any reason tonight, make it Badwater at the Bricktown Dog or The Stragglers at O'Connel's in Norman. I won't be there but I still gotta give my boys props. Some other band is playing down there.... not sure who they are... No Justice? Maybe? Who knows. (just jokes again) I'll be recording at the Dog though so I should be the main reason anybody comes out.

Any predictions how far OSU will go in the tournament? I think all the way, but I'm biased. That, and they're that good. May have a couple of drunken Irish audio blogs tonight. party..... on.

Tuesday, March 16, 2004

Here's an IM with Kevin I just had.... guess which ones which. haha

Just in case you haven't noticed, I put up some more hooch. yeah. piracy..... aaarrrggh!

Monday, March 15, 2004

OK, Kevin and I decided to start a petition... well not exactly a petition but we want everybody who sees this, go over to Jake's page and sign a comment telling him you want him to come out and play. We need a little Jake out at the bar now... its been waaaaay too long.
So, its Spring Break here at OSU. The campus is empty so maybe our phone will be silent all week. I got a few designs going for this week though. I need to udate some of my hooch. I got quite a bit to upload..... some Burtschi Brothers, Great Divide acoustic, more No Justice, Texas Jack and some Chad Dorman and Kevin Miller.... yeah party. Went to Lisa and Rod's wedding over the weekend. They had some bagpipes going. That fuckin ruled. After the wedding and reception we headed to Bricktown on to the Dog for some Texas Jack. They still cease to amaze me. Perfect mixture of killer originals then I get a block of some 80's rock. They even let me on stage to join them for a little Talk Dirty to Me.... fuckin party. I wanna be a rock star too. That shit is fun.

Friday, March 12, 2004

My webcam officially rules.... yay for me.
Last night was a good night. Chad and Kevin kicked some ass on stage. They sounded great. Pretty good crowd for a Thursday eveing too..... even if everyone was out for the coin beer, and like clockwork, once coin beer is over, so is the crowd. There were a few left that were listening. Its funny, when Melisa is with me when we go out during the week, she always says "Now, we're not staying late." Then of course I keep saying "just one more beer" then "hold on, let me finish this cigarette" or "man, I haven't tried that beer yet. Better give me one before I go". Then 1:30 seems to get there faster, so its kinda like leaving early cuz you go through a time warp on your beer scooter. Its too late to go home early now. I love whisky.

Thursday, March 11, 2004

Everybody come to the Bricktown Dog tonight and watch Chad and Kevin play. Gonna record and drink beer. It'll be a party.
Well, I'm going to go ahead and make this official... I am now a fan of Phantom Planet. I've been listening to them for a couple of weeks now and I'm really starting to dig them. When you hear them, there's a 60's Beatles psychadelic influence with a touch of modern pop. Of course, one of there songs is the theme for The O.C. Its a good tune too. Check 'em out.

Thought number B: How do some smokers smoke in there car with the windows rolled up? I saw this again this morning. I would fucking choke to death. Now, I enjoy cigarettes while I'm at the bar, but its got to be a pretty open place. Seeing someone smoking with the windows rolled up is on par with me watching knee surgery. Makes me quiver in disgust and nauseated.

Idea letter 4: As always, when we set up something, it usually lasts for a day. Our webcam host seems to be all jacked up. It won't braodcast either of our cams. So until we find a different choice... its offline.

Wednesday, March 10, 2004

So as you've probably already seen, we have a webcam in our office now. Its a small pain to get to, but until I get it sorted out where I can host it locally, it'll have to do. Our desks are on the wall where the cam is so you don't have a direct view of us but there will be tomfoolery and hijinks I assure you.

Saw this is the music section. Kick ass is all I got to say.

Oh and Badwater just signed on to do St. Patty's Day at the Bricktown Dog. Kick ass yet again.
I still watch all the re-runs of Family Guy on Adult Swim. I know a lot of people disagree but I think its ten times funnier than The Simpsons. Maybe because I see more of me in Peter than Homer. I have a feeling that family will be very simliar to mine. They are making new episodes right now and they won't air until Jan. 2005. Now its like waiting for the new season of Sopranos every two years or so. I watched a couple of episodes of Forever Eden on Fox. I don't get that show at all. There are no contests or games of competition. All they do is hang out, see who's cool, then vote people off. I am so fuckin sick of reality TV it makes me nauseous. I fucking sick of watching some girl or guy pick someone out of a group to marry or find out they're gay or they're a hermaphrodite or they're some kind of alien being. Then there is some twist where it turns out to be their mom or something. I really think the networks are trying to prove Warhol's cliche true. Its bullshit, I'm sick of it. I am so glad the new season of The Shield starts tonight. I actually get to watch quality actors and writing. Cartoons and action TV..... thats the only thing good on now. Kevin really needs to get cable.

Monday, March 8, 2004

The Sopranos kicked major fuckin' ass last night. I missed that show so much. If there was a 24 hour marathon of The Sopranos, I'd stay up for it all. Last night's show left me wanting more. I hunger to see Tony fuck up somebody. Although Chris and Paulie did a pretty nice job on the waiter. Don't ever tell a gangster to "fuck off".

On another note, went to see the Burtschi Brothers play at the Bricktown Dog and I ended up being a dancin' fool. The opening band was a nice surprise. The Rodney Parker Band from Grapevine, TX. I haven't seen an accordion in a band since Charlie Robison. Those two bands are a great match. Good Country Music, not the Hokey Pokey.... that's what its all about.

Whitney had a good idea of listing concerts she'd big bucks to see and it got me thinking. There are only two people I'd pay really big bucks (more than$100) to see..... Eric Clapton, cuz he's about as close to Stevie as I could get, and Brian Setzer. I grew up with him with the Stray Cats, he brought back swing in a way no else could have with his ochestra, and his solo cd's blow me away with his guitar work. His whole style is completely kick ass. Oh.. and check this out.
Go check out Shooter Jenning's site grab the mp3s off there. Seriously, its some good shit. He was badass with Stargunn and now badass as a solo artist. Givin' props on the belt buckle too. He's playing March 19th at SXSW in Austin. If there's a reason to go Shooter's it. Hmmmm.... maybe a road trip. Rock n roll.
This Friday, I'd like to give a "Hey, get off your lazy fat fuckin' asses and fix the stoplight at the intersection of Hwy 51 and Sangre Road!" shout out to the City of Stillwater. Thanks for making me 20 minutes late to work cuz you have have some monkeyass manually switching the light changes while he smokes his, what looks to be, an oh so tasty cigarette. Jack-offs.

There are just sometimes when I wish teleportation was a reality and my burps didn't smell like pizza.
If you haven't already, head on over to BadAss Thoughts and take a listen to the latest audio blog. It's pretty deep.
I can already see what's going to happen with this audioblog deal. I'm basically gonna get the drunk dials and call my website. party!

Don't have much to say today... right now anyway, other than I'm pretty damn excited about two season premiers. Sunday, Season 5 of The Sopranos starts and Tuesday Season 3 of The Shield starts on FX. Those are two of the best damn shows on tv other than 24..... and maybe the O.C.

Going to the ole waterin' hole tonight in Bricktown. Kevin mentioned that he and Chad may jam out down there. That'd be rock n roll. Come on out and play tonight it'll be a party.

Go on over and read today's Something Awful about the 20 Year Speedbump and take Rich's advice: "LIVE THE ABSOLUTE MOST UNHEALTHIEST LIFE POSSIBLE WHILE YOUR BODY CAN STILL SUPPORT IT." Every word he says is true and the LAW!
I would like to take this moment and thank my parents for letting me listen to the music I wanted when I was growing up. I discovered Motley Crue in '84 in the 4th grade. My parents bought me the Theater of Pain record (still when vinyl was pretty cool) even though it had pentagrams all over the cover. I used to crank my ghettoblaster to Louder Than Hell. This was in the 4th grade people! I had a friend that "secretly" bought Cinderella's "Night Songs" and Run DMC's "Raising Hell" and when his mom found out about them, she took them out back and smashed them with a fucking hammer cuz they had to do with the devil! My parents new I was smarter than that to actually think these people were devil worshipers. I liked them for the music. I could care less what they actually had to do with. My parents never batted an eye when I needed one of them to buy 2 Live Crew's "As Nasty As They Wanna Be" album when I was in the 7th Grade. My mom said, "you'll learn about that stuff sooner or later, so here you go." We actually listened to "Hey, we want some pussy" on the way home. My parents rocked when they were raising me... Mom listening to the Stones and Three Dog Night... Dad listening to ZZ Top and more of the Outlaw Country. Thank you again for not giving me boundaries in music.

Woohoo!!! We just handed Texas their ass! 76-67! (with apologies to Texans... good game... still love the music)
...And THIS is why I'm signing up for Audio Blogger. Check out this guy's blog here!
So I just finished listening to "Don't Close Your Eyes" and I started thinking, "I wonder whatever happened to Kix? They kicked ass in the late 80's!". So I googled them and came up with this site. I love finding shit out about old bands and who they're playing with (if they even still play at all). I always think maybe I might get a chance to see them at some dive club while on some road trip and just tell them that I'm still a fan..... still keeping your music alive. Party.... rock.... band!
Man, I can already feel it coming.... Spring. But one thing I wanna know is why does Spring Fever give me a lead foot? There's just something about haulin' ass on a beautiful day. Maybe I just want the wind to play catch-up or race toward the sun so it never sets. Ah fuck it... its just cuz I like to go fast.
Way to go Kevin!... for linking this Dave and not that Dave. Way to go Kevin! Way to go Kevin! Way to go Kevin!.... jackass :-)
Hello all my faithful cult followers. I'm sure everybody is well aware now about how kick ass a movie the Return of the King is. Just wanted to let you know that the pics from this weekend are up. From the killer ass party with the Stragglers at the Tumbleweed on Friday to Lisa's kick ass bachelorette party I got to be a part of on Saturday. I haven't partied with all "my bitches" in a long while. There's no "incriminating" photos or anything. You just get to see me being a jackass. But what fun. I even got to take all my bitches in the SweetWebsite van. Finally got to experience City Walk in Bricktown. 7 something different types of bars from country to techno to piano. Its a pretty cool place.... before the people show up. Then its kind of miserable. Apparently there's a line half way around the block to get in every weekend.... screw that. We all headed to the Dog to drink some Bilge Pumps and finish off the night. I think this week will end up being de-tox week cuz its always fun to wake up drunk only to realize you've got to start drinkin' again in five hours..... rock
