What a great one. Got spend some good time with family. Friday evening was spent at my Dad's in Edmond. He and Miram cooked us dinner. Grilled some steaks. Averly had a blast in their neighbor's backyard. The neighbor's have a few older grandkids with a lot of playground stuff. Averly loved the swing and slide. Saturday and Sunday we spent out at Melisa's folks in Jones. Rob, Tara, Tatum and Jesse came down from Owasso for the weekend. Always good to see them. The storms only put a damper on the fireworks show for an hour of two. Luckily it was around dinner time. We got all the meat cooked before it hit. Learned how to grill corn on the cob too. Man it was delicious. When we started the fireworks, we saw Averly wasn't a big fan; even of the ones that didn't make noise. It was close to her bedtime anyway. We put her down to bed and Tatum and Jesse stayed up and watched Rob and I try not to blow ourselves up. We were both saying how we haven't set off our own fireworks probably since we were kids. So we kind of turned back the clock on our age for a time as well... except we didn't go to bed when we should have.
Now, we're gearing up for our family road trip to NW Arkansas! We hit the highway Friday after work!
